Students will learn to redesign folds seen on a draped figure for better effect and composition, learning to make sense of the apparent randomness of natural folds and better understanding their dynamic relationship in the draped or costumed figure. Emphasis will be placed on gaining an in-depth understanding the dynamics of folds as they relate to the human figure. We will work in a tonal fashion to interpret from photo reference.
