This class is designed for all levels of experience and development. The class will utilize 1, 2, 3, and 5 minute poses from the model to develop spontaneity and accuracy. Using a rhythmical grid known as the “Abstraction,” we will encourage students to work on gesture, proportion, figure design, and calligraphy.
The Livestream Video Archive will be available for all livestream students until April 26th.

Ben Young
Ben Young has studied and taught at Watts Atelier for the past 20 years. He has worked as a freelance illustrator and conceptual designer. Travis Wilson
Travis Wilson moved to California to attend Watts Atelier at the beginning of 2018. For the past five years he has worked towards his goal of teaching and working as a professional artist. On top of being a student and now a teacher, Travis also assists in running the behind the scenes of the Atelier. Finding much interest in design and sketching, Travis seeks to help others learn about how to bridge the gap between academics and creativity.
