Figure Quicksketch
Quicksketch is a core foundational class of the Watts Atelier program, designed for artists of all levels. In this class, you’ll work with 3 and 5-minute poses from photos to develop spontaneity and accuracy.
You’ll learn to utilize a rhythmical grid, known as the “Abstraction,” to focus on gesture, proportion, and figure design. This method helps you develop superior dexterity, design knowledge, and strengthens your visual memory. The skills gained in this class are invaluable for various artistic fields, including storyboarding, animation, comic art, and conceptual design. Regular practice of quicksketch is highly recommended alongside your other artistic studies.
