Learning – Sharing – Creating
Art Spoken Here
There are moments in our lives, there are moments in a day, when we seem to see beyond the usual. Such are the moments of our greatest happiness. Such are the moments of our greatest wisdom. If one could but recall his vision by some sort of sign. It was in this hope that the arts were invented. Sign-posts on the way to what may be. Sign-posts toward greater knowledge.
Producing the next generation of artists for over 20 years
In 1992 we launched an Atelier modeled after the nineteenth-century European Ateliers. Our focus was to build strong foundational skills in an intimate studio environment. We believe the path to prosperity is paved with superior knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a clear focus of purpose. The Atelier brings together students of all ages and skill levels–from professional to novice–in an environment of visual learning that is highly structured, with a low student-to-teacher ratio.
The Online School
Producing the future generation of artists for the next 20 years
After more than 22 years of running Watts Atelier Jeff has turned his creative vision towards the future of art education: the virtual Atelier. Built off of the same foundational components that made Watts Atelier one of the leading institutions of art training, the virtual Atelier is an environment rich in content, steeped in tradition, and designed to engage, enrich, and challenge both the novice and working professional alike.
