“From the Sketchbook,” our new weekly blog feature

Every artist keeps (or should keep, rather) a sketchbook. Sketchbooks can help you record ideas, solve visual problems, strengthen and commit lessons to memory, and so much more.

Every Thursday for the next several weeks, we will be giving you a peek into our instructor’s sketchbooks in a new blog segment appropriately titled “From the Sketchbook.”  This feature is meant to give our students and followers insight into how professional illustrators and fine artists utilize their sketchbooks.

In this first installment of “From the Sketchbook,” we start with a look at Watts Atelier founder Jeff Watts’ figure invention exercises.  Enjoy the peek into Jeff’s sketchbook, and we look forward to showing you new ways to utilize your sketchbook in next Thursday’s “From the Sketchbook” post.
